I freelanced with Instacart’s internal creative studio for most of 2024. Here are some of the fun things I worked on.


Tricking people into reading copy

Instacart needed a way to get salesy messaging across without feeling salesy. So I helped created a concept that doesn’t hide the boring copy but highlights it and makes it fun to read. The approach was used for multiple projects from co-branded videos to promoting Instacart’s Deal Week.

I developed an easily repeatable creative platform that Instacart could sell to brands to let people know they’re on Instacart. It was shot entirely in stop motion 🤓 with custom songs from a children’s trap music influencer 🎧

 Inside the mind of an Instacart shopper.

People don’t trust Instacart shoppers to do their grocery shopping because people think they won’t put much thought into it. So we showed how Instacart shoppers don’t just think about your groceries, but overthink about your groceries.

I was brought in to do “something” with existing Instacart footage that they weren’t using that shows their shoppers are actually good at shopping. After coming up with the idea of We’ll overthink shopping for you, Instacart liked the scripts so much they hired Adam Driver to be the inner-voice of these shoppers.
